When I FINALLY Stopped PUSHING - My Body Did This at 46

February 5, 2026

I thought I would share something personal today, because I know many of you are quietly carrying something similar.

Last summer, I was sidelined with a stubborn hamstring injury that wouldn't let up. For months the daily movement I craved felt painful and frustrating. Running - my therapy, stress relief, and social outlet was suddenly off the table.  And, it came at one of the most stressful seasons in my life. Honestly, I embraced it at first and found joy inother types of movement, but after many months of injury I became very impatient.

At first, I did what so many driven women do: I tried to push through. I told myself I'd “work around it.” But my body was asking for something different - something deeper.

🤗So I listened. I slowed down. I softened. And I gave myself permission to heal instead of hustle.

A positive that came from my vacation  - my menstrual cycle 🩸returned at the age of 46 after being asleep for about 13 years.  I honestly believe the break from excessive, intense exercise allowed my brain to restore natural hormone cycles. While some of you would be upset about this, I've been very excited!

Today, I'm back to running, less mileage with more purpose, more awareness, and listening to my body's signals. I constantly remind myself that recovery deserves just as much intention as training.

Here's what supportedthe healing process from injury:

💆‍♀️Massage therapy for both body and nervous system

Consistent massage therapy helped restore blood flow, release stubborn tension, and calm my nervous system. Healing accelerated when my body finally felt safe enough to let go.

✨Peptides as asupportive tool

After extensive research and guidance from trusted medical professionals, I chose to use peptides BPC-157 and TB-500 as one part of my healing journey. For me, they supported tissue repair, recovery, and lowering inflammation, helping my body do what it was already trying to do - heal.

😴Foundational recovery still mattered

Protein. Real food. Sleep. Mobility. Stress management. They were all top priority. The peptides didn't replace the basics; they worked with them to amplify the healing process.

This injury taught me something I see againand again with the women I work with - especially athletes in perimenopause and beyond:

👉 Your body isn't failing you.

👉 It's communicating with you.

👉 And sometimes the answerisn't “do more,” but “less hustle and more love.”
